Light Artillery is chartered by the
NY State
Board of Education with the stated purpose and
objectives to inform, instruct and
educate the public
as to the life and trials of a Civil War
Artillery soldier during the 1860’s.
Living History
Events
Living
History events include weekend and one day
encampments, school days, and commemorations.
Among recent living history events are the
Waterloo, NY Memorial Day Celebrate Commemorate
weekend, the Rochester Memorial Day Parade, the
Waterloo
Memorial Day parade, Hilton parade, Finger Lakes
Community College, Camp Barton BSA camp, and Granger
Homestead.
During the 2009 Season Reynolds' Battery
participated in a variety of school day events
as well as individual reenactors attending
school or educational programs. School day
events happen at the school with a number of
stations created to teach various aspects of
both the war and civilian efforts to support the
war.
Some of these events included: North Park School
at Lockport, Romulus Central School, Springville
Middle School and Rose
Hill Summer Camp. For more information on

Reenactment Events
Each year the
Battery attends events throughout New York State
and national events in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and
Maryland.
The 2009 schedule included these Re-enactment
Events: Letchworth State Park, Genesee Country
Museum, Walnut Mountain, Pierce Creek, Hamlin
Beach State Park and the 145th Anniversary event
at Cedar Creek, Virginia.
Rochester Memorial Day
Parade 2010
A new event on the 2010
schedule was Angelica, NY
including fighting in the street, and a great
group photo opportunity.
